The fresh, tangy and spicy sauce from Espinaler has been popular since the 50's when it was invented, and for a reason!
This sauce has been the whole reason for the success of the Espinaler brand, which started out as a small bar that served canned fish. Here the owner's wife Espinaler invented the sauce as an accompaniment to the fish, and this flavor combination became immensely popular throughout Europe! Due to this popularity, Espinaler could now start canning their own fish, and since then it has only grown bigger and bigger!
It is not strong, but still has the wonderful, sour and powerful taste that you know from strong sauces such as Tabasco.
It can be used to season olives, fish, shellfish, eggs, chips – yes, there really are no limits!
For example, you can also use it in drinks, just like you do in Barcelona – here it is used together with vermouth to give a fresh breath!
