This wonderful salami Morellino is a favorite on pizza!
It gets its beautiful color and flavor from red wine, which gives it an almost sweet, soft and rounded flavor that beautifully compliments the pork!
The wine used for this wonderful salami is a Morellino di Scansano DOCG, which is made from Sangiovese grapes from the Grosseto province. The wine is a red wine with understated acidity, a perfumed scent and notes of wild berries.
As described, this salami Morellino is wonderful on pizza, where you simply cut it into thin slices and place it on your delicious homemade pizza before baking. Especially pizza made on the grill with this salami is a superb dish to serve to your guests on a warm summer evening!
You can of course also serve it as part of an antipasti dish, or use it in a delicious Italian sandwich or panini.
