The Throuba olive is a delicious black olive from the Greek island of Thassos, which looks like a large raisin.
Throuba olives are fleshy, aromatic and powerful in taste. They can both be used as table olives or used to make a nice powerful olive oil without too much acid.
Throuba olives are unique in that they are one of the only olive varieties that can be eaten directly from the tree! However, you still choose to salt and store them, in order to emphasize the good taste.
