Gerani Gazoza is a unique Greek soft drink produced in Crete. What makes it unique is its incomparable taste, and legend has it that if you think of a taste and take a sip afterwards, you can taste what you thought of. The most popular descriptions are banana, vanilla and bubble gum, but it can also be compared to Sprite and 7up.
It is a sweet and fruity soft drink that both young and old like. It has been produced since 1928 and its creators have been obsessed with capturing true quality in a bottle ever since. If you've been to Crete, you've probably tasted the delicious drink that is served in restaurants, cafes and can be bought in the supermarket.
The Greeks take great pride in their local soft drinks, and they are often produced with natural ingredients and without unnecessary additives. The Greeks make sure that what they consume is as natural and nutritious as possible, and they clearly choose a local soft drink over the international brands. Both for the sake of taste and health. The founder of Gerani, Sophocles Anagnostakis from Chania, returned from the United States with the idea of bringing bottled soda to Greece. In 1928 the adventure started in his garden and everything was produced by hand. Since then, Gerani has become the oldest soda factory in Greece.
