Gaia Estate is produced from Agiorgitiko grapes grown in Gaia's own 7 hectare vineyard in the Koutsi village of Nemea, at an altitude of 550m. Gaia's vintages are cultivated with care, and here it is not quantity but quality that counts. Great attention is paid to the extraction phase and high-tech equipment is used to control the maturation process, to contribute its own character to the wine at full strength. The new wine matures for at least 12 months in new French barriques (225lt) and is bottled without prior treatment with either cooling or filtration in order to preserve the best of all the essential elements of the wine.
GAIA ESTATE has a deep red-black colour, complex aromatic profile, good structure and great volume. The wine continues its development under suitable storage conditions in the bottle, which gives an even better and more strongly structured wine and can easily be stored for at least a decade. It is a wine that requires patience if you want to discover its real personality.
Should be enjoyed at 16-18 degrees Celsius and plays fantastically with all spicy meat dishes.
